COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The rain and storms of Monday are gone and cooler temperatures are what we're waking up to. We're in the 40s and 50s with temperatures this afternoon expected to reach the low 80s. It's going to be a sunny, seasonable day.

The sunshine and warm weather sticks with us through Wednesday.

Another system will move through Thursday which will up our rain coverage and storm chance. It's an "Alert Center Action Day'. Stay tuned to the forecast for timing and threat details. Right now it's a high wind threat and low tornado chance coming in mid morning and going through the early evening.

This rain will move out and temperatures will cool down. Highs will be in the 60s on Friday and the 70s for the weekend. No rain is expected after Thursday until mid week next week.

Storm Team9 will be in Opelika at the Walgreens on Pepperell Pkwy programming weather radios! Come see us from 10-2PM CT. Bring one in or buy one there for $30.
