Georgia's Lieutenant Governor visits Fort Benning

FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) – Georgia's lieutenant governor making a stop at Fort Benning Tuesday, as part of a state-wide visit to military installations.

Casey Cagle greeted a crowd of local legislators and law enforcement at the National Infantry Museum and even listened to a presentation from the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce on Fort Benning's economic impact and outlook.

Lieutenant Governor Cagle also giving the crowd part of his platform as he prepares for a run for governor in 2018.

“Talking about a tax cut of $100 million in my first 100 days, 500,000 that we're going to be creating in a 4-year term as governor. Streamlining regulatory reform to ensure businesses sort through challenges so they can open and create new jobs,” said Lieutenant Governor Cagle.

Cagle telling the group gathered at the NIM his campaign promises to promote business innovation that will bring entrepreneurs to Columbus, and make it, "The Silicon Valley of the South."
