COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Today is going to be a warm day across the Valley with temperatures warming up above average. We'll top out in the mid to upper 80s under a sunny sky.
Tomorrow is an 'Alert Center Action Day' as we have another system expected to move through the area. The setup is still a bit uncertain but we could see this develop into 2 waves of rain and storms.
The 1st one will come through early tomorrow morning with the better chance to see strong storms staying south of Columbus. The 2nd will push into the area during the afternoon hours. The risk overall is very low to see severe storms but all modes of severe threats area possible.
The system will move out early Friday leaving us with MUCH cooler air. Highs Thursday & Saturday will be in the 70s with a touch into the low 60s on Friday. The Sunshine returns on Saturday and takes us through the weekend and most of next week.
