COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Showers are the story for everyone this morning. The severe weather risk for today is low but a bit higher for the evening storm chance than this morning.
The first round is happening now through lunch with the second one moving in after 4PM ET. The threats will be for some damaging wind gusts along the line, as well as the risk of some small, spin-up tornadoes as the line comes through. We'll keep a close eye on everything for you, but just make sure you have a way to get watches and warnings through the day.
Cooler temperatures will follow the rain and storms with highs in the 50s and 60s on Friday and 60s and 70s on Saturday. Look for clearing skies by the first part of the weekend and nice weather heading into early next week as well.
