REPORT: APD investigating incident after suspect allegedly flashes gun near West Magnolia Ave.

AUBURN, AL  (WTVM) – Auburn police are investigating an incident that happened Wednesday around 9:20 p.m.

The victim reports that he was stopped at a traffic light on North Donahue Drive at the intersection of West Magnolia Avenue.

According to police, a man in a red Kia Soul pulled up beside the victim and started yelling at him and flashed what appeared to be a handgun.

The suspect then drove off eastbound on West Magnolia Avenue. No description was given of the suspect.

Auburn police are reminding the public and students of the following:

  • Stay alert to your surroundings and trust your instincts.
  • If you are confronted by someone, try not to engage them and get away from the situation as quickly as possible.
