Former Marion Co. elections supervisor, minister arrested for child molestation

MARION COUNTY, GA (WTVM) – A former Marion County Elections Supervisor employee has been arrested for child molestation and other charges.

According to police, Anthony Dixon was arrested for aggravated child molestation, cruelty to children, incest and child molestation.

Marion County's Chief Deputy Registrar Jenefer Creamer says Dixon was a Marion County employee in good standing and he resigned from the position of elections supervisor on May 1.

Dixon was also a minister and motivational speaker, according to his Linkedin account.

He was arrested on April 25 and booked into the Marion County Jail and he is expected to appear in court on Monday, May 8 at 9:30 a.m.
