(WTVM) – A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a 20-year-old Oklahoma man on Sunday, May 7 at 11:21 p.m.
Waylon Stipanovic was killed when the 2008 Nissan Altima he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Stipanovic, who was not using a seatbelt, was ejected and transported to Midtown Medical Center where he died a short time later.
The crash occurred on Alabama 14 at 214-mile marker, approximately six miles west of Auburn.
The preliminary investigation indicates that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
