PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - Friends and family gathered Thursday night to remember 27-year-old Cedric Mifflin, who died during a Phenix City officer-involved shooting on Sunday, May 7.
It's been several days since Cedric Mifflin died during the officer-involved shooting on 13th street in Phenix City, but family and friends of Mifflin say the loss is still fresh on their minds.
Those who knew Mifflin held a candlelight memorial in his remembrance at the site where the shooting ended.
According to police, Mifflin suffered injuries during the a car chase leading to an officer involved shooting.
He was taken to Midtown Medical Center where he died from those injuries. His friends and family say he'll never be forgotten.
The Alabama law enforcement agency has since taken over the investigation.
