COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus Public Library on Macon Road kicked off their 11 weeks of Summer Reading Challenge with Fanfest.

Vendors selling crafts and food trucks were at the event along with Jedi Training Academy and Lego Mania.

Special guests included Westville Historic Handicrafts and Columbus MakesIT.

Families came dressed as their favorite comic book and fantasy characters.

Tiffany Wilson with Chattahoochee Valley Libraries says they have some exciting things planned for this Summer.

“We have some special storytellers coming in. We have magician Author Atsma on June 8. They will be visiting all of our library branches," says Wilson.
