COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Girls in the valley are feeling strong, smart and bold Tuesday.

That's because Girls Inc. of Columbus hosted its fourth annual luncheon with a mission to empower all girls.

This year's honoree was Teresa White, President of Aflac U.S., and the founder of the girls summer program 'bold moves.'

Leann Malone, Executive Director of Girls Inc. says she thinks the luncheon served its purpose.

“When you change a girl’s life; you impact her family, and that in turn impacts the community. And so, by changing just one girl’s life we all have a chance to really truly change the world,” said Leann Malone, Executive Director of Girls Inc. of Columbus.
