Columbus government closures for Memorial Day

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - In observance of Memorial Day, the Columbus Consolidated Government will alter or suspend services on Monday, May 29, 2017. 

The following services will be altered or suspended with the exception of emergency services such as fire, police and ambulance:

Division:

  • Waste/Recycle - No pickup Monday, May 29 (See alternate schedule below)
  • 311 Citizens Service Center - CLOSED May 29
  • Landfills-Granite Bluff/Pine Grove - CLOSED May 29
  • Parks and Recreation - Parks and Recreation Facilities are OPEN, Administration Office is CLOSED
  • Civic Center - Administration Office is CLOSED, Columbus Ice Rink is OPEN
  • Animal Control - CLOSED May 29
  • METRA Bus Service - No bus service, normal service will resume on Tuesday, May 30
  • Recorder's Court - Monday, May 29, 2017 8:00a.m. Session Only, normal service will resume on Tuesday, May 30, 2017

Alternate Holiday Schedule:

  • Monday, May 29 routes will be collected Wednesday, May 31
  • All other services will be provided on their normal collection day
