SLIDESHOW: First women to graduate from Fort Benning's infantry training

FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) – Dozens of U.S. Army soldiers from infantry training, including 18 of the school’s first females graduated on Friday.  

According to the Fort Benning News, the U.S. Army has trained these women over the last 18 months in its first gender-integrated Infantry One Station Unit. 

Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, and 109th Infantry Brigade graduated a total of 137 new Infantry soldiers.

A ceremony was held Friday, May 19 at the National Infantry Museum as the soldiers received their Infantry Blue Cord.
