2 arrested, 2 wanted in deadly West Point drive-by shooting

WEST POINT, GA (WTVM) -

West Point Police have arrested two people on charges related to a drive-by shooting that left one woman dead. 

Kofi Dowell was arrested just before 2:00 p.m. Saturday in connection with the murder of Sherika Trammell. Trammel was shot and killed Wednesday night while she was walking in the 1100 block of E.12th Street. 

West Point Police say Jasmine Snipes came to the police department Saturday to give a statement on the case and was subsequently arrested in connection with the murder. 

Both Dowell and Snipes are now being housed at the Troup County Jail. 

A man and a woman are still being sought by police in this case. Erica Parkmond and Desron Young were seen leaving the scene Wednesday night in a red Chevrolet Tahoe.

They are believed to be armed and dangerous.
