Third person arrested, 1 wanted in deadly West Point shooting

WEST POINT, GA (WTVM) – A third person has been arrested in a deadly drive-by shooting in West Point.

Erica Parkmond has been taken into police custody Monday afternoon. Parkmond has been booked into the Troup County Jail on murder and aggravated assault charges. No bond has been set yet for Parkmond.

Kofi Dowell and Jasmine Snipes were arrested over the weekend in connection with the shooting death of Sherika Trammel.

Trammel was shot and killed Wednesday night while walking in the 1100 block of E 12th Street.

West Point police are also looking for a fourth person. Desron Young was seen leaving the scene in a red Chevrolet Tahoe. Young is believed to be armed and dangerous.

    Columbus Police confirm to News Leader 9 a shooting happened at the intersection of Cusseta Road and 23rd Ave. Police say it happened around 9:30 p.m. One person was taken to Midtown Medical center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
