COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Today is going to be another cloudy day with scattered showers and storms around. The best time to see the rain will be late this morning and through the afternoon. A few thunderstorms that form could be on the stronger side with gusty winds and an isolated tornado.
The main concern again today remains flooding problems. A flash flood watch is in effect for most of our GA counties until 8PM ET tonight. Temperatures will top out in the 70s with improving conditions expected tomorrow.
The end of the week looks fantastic with plenty of sun on Friday and highs in the mid 80s. Our Memorial Day weekend will start off dry and hot Saturday, but look for increasing chances of rain Sunday and Monday - about a 30% coverage across the area. It won't be a washout, but there will be some rain around.
