Thieves suck up money from vacuum machines, says PD

MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

This is a first for FOX10 News Fugitive Files.  I've profiled more than 1 suspect at a time, but this is the first time I've profiled a married couple.

Mobile Police say Mark and Kristie Jones are from Gulfport, Mississippi.  Police say the Jones' have come to Mobile a number of times to break into coin-operated vacuum/air compression machines at car washes and suck up all the money.

"They go to the machines and he uses a "crafted key" and that's how he gets the money out.  He's stolen over $700, and this has happened in the 2300 block of St. Stephens Road as well as the 1700 block of St. Stephens Road," said Mobile Police spokesperson Charlette Solis.

Mark Jones  is 37 years old, 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.

Kristie Jones is 39 years old, 5 foot 1 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. They've been seen in a1999 Ford Ranger pickup truck.

Mobile Police say Mark Jones has been arrested before, for possession of burglar tools in Jackson County, Mississippi.  Now, the couple is wanted in Mobile.

    Columbus, GA (WTVM) - First responders are on the scene of a rollover crash on I-185 Southbound.  The Columbus Police Department confirmed there are multiple injuries. Traffic has reached a standstill, as emergency responders work to clear the road. First responders ask drivers to take a different route and avoid the area, if possible. News Leader 9 has crews en route to the scene of the crash; we will provide more details as they are made available.
