COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Columbus Cure Diabetes Week will begin Sept. 24 and we have a list of events going on in the Chattahoochee Valley.

The Georgia Department of Human Resources reports there are 608,000 Georgians diagnosed with Diabetes and another 304,000 who don't know they suffer from it.
Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson says raising awareness on diabetes "Not only involves education, but also engagement of our community in healthier lifestyles and dedication to fund-raising for the development of new treatments."
