MPD Overnight Recap: Suspect assaults mom, daughter; throws hot coffee at victim

This is a part of the overnight crime report distributed by the Mobile Police Department. These crimes occurred September 26, 2017.

Domestic Violence 2nd, Burglary 2nd, Assault 2nd

On Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers responded to the 6500 block of Howells Ferry road in reference to a domestic complaint. The victim stated that a known male suspect forced entry into her residence by kicking in the door. The suspect assaulted the victim and her daughter when she intervened. The suspect then threw a hot cup of coffee at the victim. The suspect then left the location. The victims were treated on the scene by medical staff.

Robbery 1st

On Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at approximately 9:15 a.m., officers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 6391 Cottage Hill Road in reference to a bank robbery. An unknown male suspect entered the location and handed the teller a note. The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect left the location. The suspect was riding a motorcycle from the location.

Theft of Property 3rd, No Pistol Permit

On Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers were in the area of Pleasant Valley Road and Azalea Road when they observed Samuel St. Juste, 19. St. Juste was wanted for questioning in reference to several burglaries and thefts. Officers located a handgun in St. Juste possession. St. Juste was later arrested and transported to Mobile County Metro Jail.

Shooting Into an Unoccupied Vehicle

On Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Goodman Avenue in reference to shots fired. The victim stated that she heard several gun shots outside of her residence. The victim went to check and observed that her vehicle had been struck by gun fire. No one was injured in the incident.
