A 49-year-old man is facing charges of sexual torture after an investigation by the Montgomery Police Department.
According to Capt. Regina Duckett, Cyrus Phyfier is charged with one count of domestic violence third-degree and one count of sexual torture.
Duckett said the charges are related to a sexual assault investigation that began on Oct. 14. The investigation indicated that a woman was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance during a physical altercation.
According to court documents, Phyfier forcibly placed a pistol in the victim’s mouth where he's said to have pulled the trigger twice. He's also accused of using the gun to sexually assault her.
The victim was also slapped and choked during the altercation and her clothes were torn documents indicate.
In her report to police, the victim told officers the attack ended after she screamed and begged for her life. The screams alerted her son, who was inside their home. When he came outside, the suspect left.
An investigation identified Phyfier as the suspect, Duckett said.
Phyfier was taken into custody Wednesday by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. He was then transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility under a $45,500 bond.
