Falcons top Jets to snap three-game losing streak

(WTVM) - A rainy afternoon in the Meadowlands was not enough to damper the Falcons. Atlanta pulled out a 25-20 win over the New York Jets, ending their three-game skid.

It was a rough start for the Dirty Birds. After an opening drive touchdown by the Jets, Atlanta gave the ball back on a fumble just three plays into their first possession of the game. It was one of two turnovers in the first half for the Falcons.

After a missed field goal by New York, Atlanta responded by driving 64 yards in seven plays for a game-tying touchdown. Austin Hooper caught a one-yard pass from Matt Ryan to even the score at seven.

Both teams traded field goals to keep the score tied at 10. New York then added a touchdown, which the Falcons only responded to with a field goal, sending the teams into halftime with the Jets ahead 17-13.

Atlanta put up a field goal and a touchdown to take their first lead of the game. Both teams traded field goals, and Atlanta took home the win 25-20.

This win moves the Falcons to 4-3 on the season. They face the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte next Sunday.
