SLIDESHOW: Columbus police investigating missing persons cold cases

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Columbus Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving several missing persons cold cases. 

The Special Victims Unit has formed a team to investigate cold cases of missing people.

The cases being investigated have not received any feedback from the community in 2-30 years. The unit is asking the public’s help in locating the individuals.

CPD is searching for the following missing persons:

Mrs. Dale Smith  - Last seen on May 10, 1987

  • Age: 83
  • Height: 5'5"
  • Weight: 120 pounds
  • Eye color: Brown 
  • Hair color: Brown

Mr. Joe Akridge - Last seen on March 28, 2015

  • Age: 56
  • Height: 6'1"
  • Weight: 210 pounds
  • Eye color: Brown
  • Hair color: Black

Mr. Raymond Paul Akins - Last seen on Jan. 7, 2013

  • Age: 38
  • Height: 5'6"
  • Weight: 130 pounds
  • Eye color: Blue
  • Hair color: Brown

Ms. Marilyn Sue Bacon Turner - Last seen in 2005

  • Age: 61
  • Height: 5'0"
  • Weight: 105 pounds
  • Eye color: Blue 
  • Hair color:  Blonde

Ms. Lorrene Reynolds - Last seen on June 26, 1985

  • Age: 61
  • Height: 5'10"
  • Weight: 120 pounds
  • Eye color: Green
  • Hair color: Light brown
