(WTVM) - LifeSouth Community Blood Centers issued an emergency demand for O-negative blood donors due to a critical shortage of this type.
O-negative blood is universal and can be given to any patient in an emergency.
Individuals 17 and older, or 16 with parental permission can donate blood. Donors must weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health
