FIRST TO ALERT: Keeping our attention on a possible Thanksgiving rain chance

(WTVM) -  Clouds have moved into the Valley on this Tuesday morning and will stick around through the next few days. You can also expect a low rain chance through Thursday.

This has changed from yesterday due to system that will develop in the Gulf. It's expected to move NE over FL and south GA late Wednesday and Thursday. This will increase our moisture levels and rain chance in areas south and east of Columbus. If the system tracks closer than the coverage of rain could be higher. If it tracks farther away we could stay dry with less cloud cover. It's something we'll be watching. None the less, if you're traveling east across GA late Wednesday/early Thursday please be mindful of rain.

Sunshine moves back in for Friday and the weekend. We're expecting another cool down on Sunday dropping highs in the 50s. Temperatures will start near freezing next Monday morning. We stay dry through next Tuesday before a low rain shot moves in for next Wednesday.
