FIRST TO ALERT: Rain expected for Christmas weekend but Christmas Day? Forecast here.

(WTVM) - We're waking up this morning with some dense fog in some spots and cloudy skies. It's the first official day of winter and temperatures are running above average. We'll top out in the mid to upper 60s today and tomorrow with a 10% rain chance for both days.

Going into Christmas weekend we'll track a cold front through the area bringing a high rain coverage for Saturday. Models in disagreement on Sunday's rain but right now I have a low rain chance sticking around through Christmas Eve.

The colder air starts to move in on Sunday dropping highs from the 70 on Saturday to near 60 on Sunday and settling down into the 50s on Christmas Day. Mostly sunny skies are also expected on Christmas! The colder days and dry conditions take us through Wednesday of next week.
