Athletes around the Chattahoochee Valley make it official on early signing day

(WTVM) - Call Wednesday, Dec. 20 a small sample of National Signing Day.

It's the early signing period where some of the best players in the country can sign their names on the dotted line and focus on their future.

Several kids around the Valley move on to play big time division one college ball, including a pair of boys, headed to the SEC.

Beauregard running back LaDamian Webb, reigning Mr. Football in Alabama, signed with Mississippi State.

At Eufaula, defensive lineman KaDarian Hill signed with Ole Miss. Webb and Hill may meet up someday in the Egg Bowl.

Both Hill and Webb had to deal with some uncertainty in their recruitment. Dan Mullen left Mississippi State for Florida, and Ole Miss had some question marks at the head coaching spot as well until they took the interim tag off Matt Luke.

Webb and Hill still stuck with their school and look forward to big things in the future.

Glenwood wide receiver Cameron O'Neil officially signed with Pittsburgh in the ACC.

O'Neil said relationships with the coaching staff are what got him there, and what kept him committed this whole time.

At Smiths Station, defensive lineman Deondrae Williams signed with Navy early Wednesday morning.

Shaw long snapper T.J. Harvey signed with Southern Miss. Harvey said he got a late push from Georgia and Georgia Tech, but stuck with his commitment to the Golden Eagles.
