(WTVM) - Today and tomorrow will both see some sunshine with temperatures reaching the mid 50s. Cold air starts to move in on Sunday with a low rain chance also moving across the area.
Coverage remains at 20% with a a few flurries possible late Sunday night as the moisture pushes east. Highs on Sunday will drop about 10 degrees from Saturday with overnight lows dropping into the upper 20s and low 30s. At midnight we're expected low to mid 30s with highs on New Years Day reaching the low 40s.
Wind chills will be in the teens for most mornings next week with temperatures mostly in the 20s. These are dangerously cold temperatures so be thinking of the things that you'll need to do to prepare your house for this arctic blast. The coldest air will be with us next Thursday and Friday. Afternoon highs will stay in the 30s and 40s through next weekend.
