(WTVM) - This morning we're waking up to clouds in the Valley with isolated flurries falling on the radar, but with dry air close to the surface anything that is falling is evaporating before it can reach us. We're ruling out at least one flurry or two getting to the ground.
Temperatures are about 10 degrees warmer though than yesterday as we start in the mid to upper 20's. This afternoon, highs will reach the low 40's under sunny skies. Winter weather is falling in Southeast Georgia that will cause travel issues that way.
Once all the moisture exits later tonight we'll see another shot of cold, dry air move in dropping morning lows back into the teens/low 20s for Thursday and Friday. Clouds and temperatures slowly start to build this weekend with highs in the upper 40s on Sunday under partly cloudy skies.
Monday will be a rainy one with a system bringing rain through the Valley. Showers linger into Tuesday and highs will return to the upper 50's and this looks to be the forecast for the rest of next week. Stay tuned to changes!
