Aflac wins award for creating robotic companion for children with cancer

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The world-famous Aflac Duck has become even more famous.

Aflac won a prestigious high-tech international award at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

CES is the world's largest trade show and Aflac of Columbus attended the event for the first time this year. The company won the Tech for a Better World Innovation Award.

Aflac was awarded for its role in creating a special robotic duck designed to provide comfort for the kids with cancer.

The robotic duck has naturalistic movements and joyful play to help distract children coping with cancer.
