(WTVM) - Clouds, light rain and some drizzle will be the story through this Wednesday as temperatures also stay in the 60s through the end of the week. Tomorrow the coverage of rain will be slightly higher.
On Friday a dynamic weather system will make it's way into the southeast bringing with in a few thunderstorms and cooler air. The rain will be with us for most of the day on Friday with the strongest storms rolling in late in the morning and afternoon. No severe storms are expected at this time but that could change. As the system moves east of the Valley moisture could wrap around it catching up with the cold air. At this time winter weather is a possibility Friday night for north AL and GA but not for the Valley. This is also something we're monitoring.
Temperatures cool down for the weekend behind this rain as we drop highs back into the 40s and lows below freezing. This remains the story for Sunday and most of next week under a mix of sun and clouds.
