Columbus Regional honors first responders with First Friday Heroes program

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Regional Health is recognizing first responders who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Columbus Regional created the First Friday Heroes program in early 2017 to recognize such first responders monthly.

Officers Christopher Snipes and Nathan Tooley are the patrolmen who were chosen to be recognized this month for assisting in helping a woman who accidentally shot herself late last year at a local Home Depot.

The hospital says first responders don't often get the recognition they deserve, so they want to make the community aware of local heroes and all they do to make Columbus a better and safer place.
