(WTVM) - Alabama is once again searching for a new offensive coordinator. This afternoon, the Buffalo Bills announced they've hired Bama OC Brian Daboll to take the same position.
Daboll leaves Alabama after just one year, where he helped the Tide win their 17th national championship.
Bama ranked 15th in the country in scoring, 13th in rushing and 16th in first downs in the one year under Daboll.
He returns to the NFL, where he last spent time with the New England Patriots as their tight ends coach during the 2016 season.
It's the third straight offensive coordinator departure in just two years for the Tide. Lane Kiffin left just prior to the national championship last season, and Steve Sarkisian also left right after the title game.
Bama is now looking to hire an offensive and defensive coordinator this offseason.
