HAMILTON, GA (WTVM) - "Love not hate, makes America great." That was just one of the chants Monday at the Harris County Men's Club annual King Day parade through Hamilton.
Dozens of church and civic groups participated in the event promoting unity and understanding among people of all races and backgrounds. The Harris County Men's Club has sponsored the event on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday for the last several years.
This year featured one of the largest group of participants ever. The event wrapped up with a ceremony at Friendship Baptist Church following the parade through the town square.
