RUSSELL COUNTY, AL (WTVM) – An arrest has been made in connection with the deadly Fort Mitchell Dollar General shooting.
Justin Davidson, 26, was arrested at Columbus Regional Hospital Tuesday, Jan. 16.
Davidson was charged with being a fugitive from justice based on the Alabama warrant for murder.
He will be held in the Muscogee County Jail until he is extradited back to Russell County. Davidson cannot be extradited until he sees a judge in Muscogee County.
The apparent road rage shooting happened on Thursday, Jan. 11 at the Dollar General located at the intersection of Highway 165 and Sweetwater Branch Road.
The shooting claimed the life of Lorenzo Freeman and injured two others, including Davidson.
Davidson will go before a judge Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
He is being held with a bond of $50,000.
