LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) -

Roadways throughout LaGrange are covered in black ice after the overnight snowfall.

City crews salted the area around fire stations, the LaGrange Police Station, the American Medical Responsive service, Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, and surrounding overpasses and bridges.

Crews are also using trucks to sand major roadways. The sand will help vehicles gain better traction while traveling.

The following roads have been treated:

Broad Street

Vernon Road

Pegasus Parkway

Mooty Bridge Road

Hamilton Road

Whitesville Road

Lafayette Parkway

Colquitt Road

Davis Road

Lukken Industrial

Country Club Road

Crews will respond as quickly as possible to other roads that need treatment.

Some roads are closed.
