Auburn police arrest 3 suspects in Aspen Heights Lane robbery

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - Auburn police arrested three suspects in connection to with an armed robbery.

Jaken Dowdell, 20, and Martavious Dowdell, 20, both from Auburn were arrested Jan. 16. Tevin Calloway, 35, from Opelika was also arrested.

All three suspects were charged with three counts of first-degree robbery, second-degree possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Calloway was also charged with carrying a pistol without a permit.

Auburn police responded to reports of the robbery at a home in the 700 block of Aspen Heights Lane. According to the victim, three males who had been at their residence earlier returned with handguns and took cash and electronics totaling over $2,000.

The suspects were taken into custody after marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun were in their possession during a traffic stop.

Jaken Dowdell and Martavious Dowdell are in custody in the Lee County Jail on $302,000 bonds. Calloway is being held on a $305,000 bond.
