Volunteers needed for environmental effort during Mardi Gras

FOX10 News is committed to improving the environment.

A group that helps with recycling in Mobile during Mardi Gras is expanding its efforts.
It's the Mardi Gras Eco Team.

They have big blue carts that volunteers roll out ahead of the parades on the final days of the season.

Team members will be out in Mobile from February 10th through February 13th.

And this year, the effort is expanding to Baldwin County.

The team will be out on February third in Fairhope ahead the "Knights of Ecor Rouge" Mardi Gras parade.

Parade goers can drop cans, plastic bottles, glass, even cardboard into the carts.

There are also recycling containers put out through the parade route.
