Lee County Sheriff named 'Alabama Sheriff of the Year'

LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - An Alabama sheriff recently received a high honor.

Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones was named the 'Alabama Sheriff of the Year.'

Jones was first elected Sheriff in 1998 and is now in his fourth term. He began his law enforcement career with the Lee County Sheriff's Office in 1975 while being a student at Auburn University.
