COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Paintings that went on sale by a local artist were a big hit.
Gerry Bosch was a popular artist in Columbus a few years ago and left a little over 2,000 pieces of art in a climate controlled apartment.
His collection was up for sale to the public over the weekend at The Clubhouse at Greystone's Country Club Apartments.
Bosch's artwork has been seen in galleries in New York City and currently at The Columbus Museum.
Bosch's great grand-daughter, Elizabeth White, says they sold almost 500 pieces of his artwork.
"We wanted to get it in the hands of people who enjoy it. It's been so cool this weekend. So many people have come in here and shared their stories about Gerry. Four women told me how Gerry painted a photo for their wedding," said Bosch's great-granddaughter.
The left-over pieces will go back into storage. At this time there no plans to sell the remaining artwork.
A print of Bosch's art is currently available on Amazon for $245
