RICHLAND, GA (WTVM) – The GBI arrested a man in Richland, GA for drugs.
On Friday, Jan. 19, 54-year-old Eric Josey was arrested in Stewart County following a months-long investigation by agents with the GBI, West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration regional office in Columbus, GA.
Law enforcement agents developed information that Josey was distributing cocaine from his residence in Richland. A search warrant was executed at Josey's home and agents discovered $10,000 worth of marijuana, powder cocaine, crack cocaine valued at $1000, hydrocodone pills valued at $16,650, and MDMA Ecstasy pills.
Josey was charged with possession of a cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of scheduled II (hydrocodone) with intent to distribute, and possession of MDMA with intent to distribute.
He was also charged with trafficking in illegal drugs (hydrocodone), theft by receiving stolen property (three counts), and criminal use of an article with an altered serial number (two counts).
