COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - On Monday, three men were set to stand trial, accused of the murders of Gloria Short, 54, her son Caleb Short, 17, and granddaughter Gianna Lindsey, 10.
Today, only one defendant, Rufus Burks, remains to stand trial after his two co-defendants plead guilty.
This leaves the 17-year-old Burks the lone defendant in the triple murder. He faces 10 charges and a possible life sentence.
Jury selection is expected to continue through the end of this week.
