COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - More than 100 people are taking Chick-fil-A's "Eat Mor Chikin" slogan seriously.
Despite the cold weather, people are camped out in tents braving the cold for the grand opening of Columbus' new Chick-fil-A. To mark the opening, the store invited the public to line up for a "first 100 event."
Exactly 100 people were in line by 5:00 p.m. last night at the Columbus Park Crossings location, but most of those 100 were in line at 6:00 a.m. yesterday morning. To keep these customers entertained through the night, Chick-fil-A provided games, dancing and meals as the countdown to the store opening continued.
Those who stuck around until 6:00 a.m. this morning won a year's worth of free Chick-fil-A meals.
The new store is located at 5520 Whittlesey Blvd.
