COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – PAWS Humane has received a grant to help extend its outreach program in Columbus.
The organization received $36,891 from PetSmart charities to help with spay and neuter efforts.
PetSmart Charities is the largest funder of animal welfare in North America.
PAWS Humane has operated the Pets for Life Program on a small scale since April 2015, working primarily in the 31907-zip code.
"We are very grateful to PetSmart Charities for providing this grant which will enable PAWS Humane to expand our outreach to underserved communities in Columbus," said Bobbi Yeo, CEO of PAWS Humane. "It is through intensive spay and neuter programs that we will win the war to end pet overpopulation and homelessness."
