CAUGHT IN THE ACT: Bizarre Behavior Before Man Throws Angel Into Door

FOX10 News is committed to putting the spotlight on people “Caught in the Act.” Each week, we work with local law enforcement to show surveillance video in the hopes that you can help crack the case.

Mobile Police are looking for a man accused of vandalizing a home in Theodore in a bizarre incident that was all caught on camera.

"I'm speechless with the randomness of it,” said the homeowner, Charisse Armstrong.

Armstrong was at work on Monday, when her home surveillance cameras caught a man walk onto her property off Old Pascagoula road. In broad daylight, the man makes his way to the back porch.

"He walks in and he sat in the chair like he's been there 1,000 times before,” said Armstrong.

The man gets back up to grab an ashtray from the table. He sits back down, lights a cigarette and takes off his hood. This is where he spends the next ten minutes, alternating between smoking and eating out of two small containers he brought with him.

"He has two little to-go packets of salsa, and you can tell it's spicy by the way he reacts when you zoom in on his face,” said Armstrong.

Two cigarettes later, the man stands up, takes a small object out of his backpack, which is later discovered to be an angel figurine. Then he dumps out the ashtray and takes it.

"He was casual about every bit of it."

Then his casual demeanor changes. You can see him throw the angel into the glass door as hard as he can before walking away.

"It actually broke the outer layer of the glass and the inner layer did not crack. You can see the bottom portion of the angel ended up sticking in there,” said Armstrong as she described her door.

She is in shock at the man's bizarre behavior. She said she doesn't know who he is or what made him so angry.

"It's a very beautiful angel, but it was used to vandalize my house, so I'm not real happy about that.” Said Armstrong. "We are very lucky, extremely lucky, that he didn't try to get into our house. He didn't steal anything. He didn’t hurt anybody."

Now, she wants you to take a good look at this man, and if you know who he is, give Mobile Police a call.

"I hope they can find him, and pick him up, and get him off the streets so that nobody else is having to deal with this. You never know what he might do."
