AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - A Columbus man arrested at Auburn University has been indicted by a grand jury and was expected in court today.

Tony Patillo, a driver with Tiger Transit, was charged with rape and sodomy.

He's suspected, along with co-worker James Johnson, of sexually assaulting a female student on a Tiger Transit bus in September.

A bond hearing for Patillo was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday in Lee County court.

The judge of the bond hearing denied Patillo's motion for bail due to not wanting to disturb the ruling of another judge of competent jurisdiction.

The bond was also denied because a previous hearing on the matter has already been held, evidence and a testimony were taken, and a ruling has already been made.
