Columbus Regional honors first responders for saving infant

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Regional Health recognized its first responders who have gone beyond the call of duty.

The hospital says first responders don't often get the recognition they deserve so they wanted to honor Sgt. Phillip Martinez, Daniella Neely, and others who helped save an infant's life in early December.

The first responders performed CPR and even fashioned a makeshift medical device to open the child's airway.

Unfortunately, the fire crew from Station 4 was out on a call when Columbus Regional stopped by to honor them.
