1 dead after a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, AL (WTVM) – A two-vehicle crash resulted in a fatal accident that claimed the life of a child.

The crash happened Friday, Feb. 2 at 8:35 p.m. and claimed the life of a 9-year-old child who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The child was a passenger of a 2008 Honda Accord when another vehicle was traveling on the wrong side of the road and crashed into the vehicle.

She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and the driver, 41-year-old Jemellia Webb was transported from the scene for treatment of injuries.

30-year-old Matthew McGhee, the driver of the other vehicle, was also transported with injuries.

The crash occurred on Marler Rd. near U.S. 80, in the Waugh Community.
