ATLANTA, GA (WTVM) – The search is still on for the mystery millionaire from the Aug. 8, 2017, Mega Millions drawing. A winning ticket worth $1 million was sold in the drawing and is set to expire Feb. 4.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Summit Food Store, located at 1900 Highway 18 in West Point.

Winning numbers from the drawing were: 11-17-50-52-74 and the Mega Ball was 14. The $1 million prize is the game's second prize that can be won by matching the first five numbers but not the Mega Ball.

Georgia winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim Mega Millions prizes.

Georgia Lottery headquarters and district offices will be closed Saturday and Sunday. However, the winner can begin the claim process at the Georgia Lottery kiosks at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, located in the baggage claim areas of the North and South terminals.

The Georgia Lottery's airport hours are: 7 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday.

In Georgia, prize winnings that go unclaimed are included in the Georgia Lottery's returns to education to help fund the HOPE and Pre-K Programs. Also, of this money, $200,000 is transferred annually to the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities for education and treatment programs for problem gambling.

As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $19.2 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program. More than 1.8 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
