FIRST TO ALERT: Flood watch in effect for some of the Chattahoochee Valley until Sunday

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A flood watch is in effect for some counties in the Chattahoochee Valley through 7 p.m. ET Sunday.

Heavy rain will move into the Valley later this evening through Sunday evening, with 1-3 inches of rainfall possible.

This could lead to localized flooding in some areas.

In addition to the heavy rain, a few isolated severe storms are not out of the question this weekend. Gusty winds are the biggest severe threat.
