COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Mayor Teresa Tomlinson delivered the 2018 State of the City address at the Cunningham Conference Center at Columbus State University Friday.
Mayor Tomlinson included the following during the address:
- Recognition's and Awards
- Crimes and Law Enforcement
- Fiscal Responsibility
- Achievements and Steady programs
- Quality of Life and Community Identity
Brian Anderson, the president and CEO of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce interviewed the mayor. She also spoke on topics such as the city's progress in 2017 and her agenda for 2018. She defended her administration's response to crime.
"Together we have made steady, transformational progress - the type of progress that we can build upon and that will put Columbus on a solid footing for its bright future," Mayor Tomlinson said.
Mayor Tomlinson was sworn in as Columbus' first female mayor Jan.3, 2011. She's made Georgia Trend's 100 Most Influential Georgians list six times.
