COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A candidate for Georgia's governor spoke to mothers in Muscogee and Harris counties Monday about his plans for the future.
Clay Tippins is running for governor to make Georgia the first 21st-century state in the nation.
Tippins says because of his background as a Navy SEAL and business executive, he hopes to put Georgia ahead and help keep the state on a budget.
With his new approach, he plans to lend a fresh perspective on the challenges faced as a state and as a nation to ensure that future generations have greater access to prosperity and freedom.
The primary for Georgia governor will take place May 22.
